Acorn Claim Assist
1.8 Fee means the fee of 12.5% of the Compensation payable to Acorn Claim Assist for the services carried out by it subject to the minimum fee of £75 per case. For example where we recover £3000 compensation our fee would be £375, and the client would receive £2625. A second example being where compensation is £3000 which is applied as a reduction in the clients loan of £2000 and a cash payment of £1000, our fee would be £375, and the client would receive £625 and a reduction of £2000 in future loan instalments. A further example would be where compensation is £3000, however this is used to offset arrears and the client would receive £0 cash in hand, however our fee would be £375 payable by the client, and a reduction of £3000 in their outstanding loan. The client therefore understands that where arrears exist the Company may use any compensation payable to offset the arrears, and the client may then become liable for the fee payable to Acorn Claim Assist.
1.3 Cancellation Fee means the reasonable costs incurred for the work undertaken in pursuit of the claim by Acorn Claim Assist up to the point of cancellation by the client, and will be charged at a rate of £50 per hour pro rata.
