If we are successful in reaching an agreement between you and your spouse/former partner or his/her solicitor, the agreement will need to be approved by a Judge what is known as a ‘consent order’. This is important as unless the Order is recorded by the Court is will not be enforceable. We shall prepare the consent order and lodge it with the Court.
A court fee will be payable in addition to our fixed fee – £45
Financial issues surrounding the breakdown of a relationship are often complex which can lead to worry and uncertainty about expenditure on fees. We have therefore developed a range of staged fixed fees, which means that you are only charged for the stage your case reaches. You do not get charged for any unnecessary work and you are free to decide whether you want to take the next step.
Our prices include vat but exclude expenses such as court fees and barrister fees (if required).
If you case is not suitable for a fixed fee, for example, if it is highly complex, involves a foreign property or a business, or is unusually contentious, we will discuss the work required with you and agree an affordable hourly rate, giving you an estimate of the likely total costs before we start any work.
